O Ambassadors Visit Metzler

Representatives of O Ambassadors, an Oprah Winfrey charitable organization, visited Metzler Elementary School. Last year, the Metzler students donated $3,111.70 through the O Ambassadors to Free the Children so that families in Shuid, Ecuador, can have clean, running water.

Katie Meyler, with Free the Children, told the students of her experiences in Nigeria, Bolivia, and Asia working to make life better for orphans, homeless children, and children in prisons. Michel Chikwanine, who spent his early years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, reminded the students that each person can do something to change the world.

On April 22, Metzler will hold a second fun run to raise money to contribute to O Ambassadors. Over one million students are a part of O Ambassadors. Oprah’s Angel Network and Free the Children work together in joint projects under the name O Ambassadors.
