Back 2 School With Their Heads Held High

Attached are a few photos of a very special community event held this past week at the Lincoln Community Center in the Acres Homes Community. Kim Hollis of The Wing Cafe and Daiquiris in Spring Texas is all about community service. Mrs. Hollis along with April Chretien of The Continental Airlines Woman's Group invited local business owners to participate in a free braiding and haircut extravaganza offered to over 50 children heading back to school next week.

"I just wanted to say thank you to all of the wonderful people who donated their time and services, for your dedication, patience, generosity,  and your vision of seeing this thing through. I can’t begin to put into words the joy and appreciation felt by the parents and children, as well as our staff with the fact that someone cared enough to make sure that our children could go back to school with self esteem and a sense of pride. Most of the children you served would not have otherwise been so fortunate. You all are truly a blessing to our community. And again we would like to extend our deepest gratitude", said Houston Parks and Recreation Representative, Ken Kearney.

Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce President, Toni Richard was honored to be a part of such a wonderful experience and proud to have Mrs Hollis as a member of their team. "This is the beginning of something wonderful and we are looking forward to next year and how changes such as these will be made in the Spring-Klein Community", said Ms Richard
