On Tuesday February 2, 2010 deputies with Precinct Four Constable Ron Hickman’s Office responded to a suspicious person call in the 21000 block of Kuykendahl. Upon arrival, deputies observed a while male individual described by the calling party walking to a vehicle at the rear of the Guaranty Bank. The individual had been observed by bank employees watching the bank before business hours. 

The individual was detained by deputies and recognized (utilizing a Federal Bureau of Investigation Press Release Poster dated January 23, 2010) as possibly being the suspect of a bank robbery on January 23, 2010 at the Capital One Bank located in the 21000 block of Kuykendahl.  

Subsequent investigation resulted in the positive identification of the individual as the suspect being sought in the robbery of the Capital One Bank. The suspect, Wellington Wansong, age 45 of Spring, Texas was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. 

The Constable’s Department immediately contacted the FBI, at which time, a representative from the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department responded.
